These courses have been created to ensure technicians carrying out auto body repairs have received training and accreditation in safety related aspects of the repair.

Demonstrate their skills and ability in correctly carrying out a four-wheel alignment following manufacturer’s technical instructions. Demonstrate their skills and ability in correctly checking and adjusting to manufacturer’s specifications.

Vehicle Body Repair Quality Control

Carry out a quality control inspection on post body repair vehicles. Identify where to look for defects based on the repairs carried out. Carry out a vehicle presentation inspection.

Supplementary Restraint system (SRS) diagnostics and repair

Understand the risks and safety implications of working with pyrotechnic devices. Carry out safe diagnostic test routines on SRS control systems, components, and wiring

Air Bag Removal / Installation

Safely and correctly install an airbag. Carry out safe system and component test procedures. Identify where appropriate repair or replacement should be carried out.

Learn to demonstrate your skills and ability to produce a series of aluminium MIG butt / fillet welds in the vertical up and overhead positions to meet BS4872-

IMI AOM-230 ADAS

Correctly interpret information relating to a specific vehicle and its ADAS features to determine which method of calibration is required. Carry out ADAS diagnostic procedures using ADAS Diagnostic and Calibration Equipment on a vehicle that has a minimum of two operating systems I.e. Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) front/rear proximity sensors and lane departure warning

This Qualification is designed for motor vehicle professionals who maintain and repair HEV technologies, including the hybrid or electric drive system itself.
